4 rules — tap each to read
Permitted roads & speed›
Operation is permitted only on roads posted 35 MPH or less where LSVs are legally allowed. The vehicle is governed at 25 MPH maximum. Highways, freeways, expressways, or any road posted over 35 MPH are strictly prohibited. Sidewalks, bike paths, pedestrian walkways, and any non-vehicle roadway are also strictly prohibited. All California traffic laws apply at all times.
Prohibited use›
Strictly prohibited: off-road operation on sand, gravel, dirt, grass, or unpaved surfaces; operation under the influence of alcohol, cannabis, or any impairing substance (DUI/DWI laws apply); operation on sidewalks, bike paths, or pedestrian areas; operation during lightning, heavy rain, flooding, or sustained winds over 30 MPH; exceeding 6 passengers at any time; tampering with speed controls; leaving the cart running or unlocked while unattended. Always remove the key and secure the cart when stepping away. Violations may result in immediate termination, fee forfeiture, and personal liability.
Driver requirements›
The renter must be 18 years of age or older with a valid government-issued driver's license carried at all times. No one under 18 may operate this vehicle. All seat belts must be worn by all passengers where equipped. Maximum 6 occupants including the driver.
Note: The hotel is not responsible for any issues relating to this vehicle rental. For all assistance, contact E3 Vehicles directly: (310) 386-3679.
Battery, range & return›
Estimated range is 20–25 miles per charge. Monitor the battery gauge and return before depletion. Abandoning a depleted vehicle may result in a relocation fee up to $325. The vehicle must be returned to its designated stall and plugged in. A charging cord is located beneath the rear flip seat and may be used during your rental if needed.

5 rules — tap each to read
Security hold & card authorization›
A $300 refundable security hold is placed at booking and released after staff review of return photos. By completing this booking you expressly authorize E3 Vehicles to retain your payment method for 45 days to charge any citations, fines, tolls, damage costs, late fees, plug-in fees, or missing keycard fees incurred during your rental. Your card is stored securely via Stripe and used for no other purpose.
Late returns›
The vehicle must be returned plugged in to its designated stall. Failure to plug in results in a $75 plug-in fee. A 15-minute grace period applies after your scheduled return time. After the grace period, late fees are charged to your card at $1.23/minute. These charges are automatic and non-negotiable.
Keycard return & loss›
The keycard must be returned to the keybox at the end of your rental using the same PIN you used to retrieve it. Failure to return the keycard to the keybox, or loss, theft, or damage of the keycard at any point during your rental, results in a $175 missing keycard fee charged automatically to your card on file. This fee covers replacement of the keycard, reprogramming of the vehicle, and the staff time required to restore the cart to service for the next renter. The fee applies regardless of fault.
Traffic citations & fines›
All parking tickets, traffic citations, toll charges, and fines issued against this vehicle during your rental are your sole responsibility — regardless of when received. Citations are often mailed weeks after issuance. E3 Vehicles will charge your card on file for any citations received within 45 days of your rental date, plus a $25 processing fee per citation.
Refund policy›
Refunds are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. If you experience a vehicle issue or other problem with your rental, please contact us right away — within 24 hours of your rental end at the latest — and we will work with you to find a fair resolution.
I have read and agree to the fee schedule
4 rules — tap each to read
Damage liability›
The renter is solely responsible for all damage during the rental period — collision damage, scratches, dents, broken components, tire damage, and water damage. Pre-existing damage is documented at checkout via required photos. Any new damage identified at return is the renter's full financial responsibility. Damage exceeding the $300 hold will be invoiced separately and is due within 7 days.
Insurance & incident reporting›
E3 Vehicles carries commercial insurance on this vehicle. You assume liability for damage to the vehicle or third-party property during the rental. In the event of any collision or incident, notify E3 Vehicles immediately at (310) 386-3679. Do not leave the scene without documenting it. All incidents must be reported within 24 hours.
Personal automobile insurance›
By completing this booking you confirm that you hold a valid automobile insurance policy at the time of this rental that covers you as a driver of a non-owned vehicle. You are solely responsible for ensuring you are appropriately insured to operate this vehicle. E3 Vehicles carries commercial liability coverage on the fleet — this does not extend to cover the renter's personal liability.
GPS monitoring & governing law›
In compliance with California Vehicle Code §9836, you are hereby notified that this vehicle may be equipped with a GPS tracking and telematics device used for fleet management, emergency recovery, and safety compliance. This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California. E3 Vehicles operates as an authorized associate under Affiliated Car Rental, L.C. (Dealer Code 5645). By completing this booking you agree to all terms herein.
I confirm I hold valid and active auto insurance.
I have read and agree to all legal terms and authorize E3 Vehicles to retain my payment method for 45 days for any charges incurred during my rental.

First time? 6 quick steps before you drive
PRE-DRIVE WALKTHROUGH · Follow these in order
1
Unplug the charging cable
The cable plugs into the rear driver-side of the cart. Pull the plug straight out, then set the cable neatly aside so the cart can roll out cleanly.
2
Turning on & off the cart
To turn ON: Tap the black Denago key card to the dash just left of the rotary dial (slightly lower angle). Wait for the ring to light up green, then turn the rotary to S for Drive. To turn OFF: Tap the card to the same spot again — the electric parking brake auto-engages.
3
Forward & Reverse
Turn the rotary dial: S = Drive (25 mph max), D = Drive (15 mph max), N = Neutral, R = Reverse. Always come to a complete stop before switching directions.
4
Lights & horn
Lights: twist the end of the turn-signal stalk sticking out from the left of the steering column. Horn: press the center of the steering wheel. Use both at intersections and after dark.
5
Speed & road rules
Max 25 mph. Only on roads posted 35 mph or under. You're driving a street-legal vehicle — obey all traffic signals, signs, and laws.
6
Battery & range
20–25 miles per charge. Watch the battery gauge on the dash. Return early if you see it below 25% — range diminishes quickly on hills.
